Panoramic view of Puerto Montt

We start visiting the Angelmo market to see the variety of local fish, seafood and vegetables for sale. Continue to the traditional handcraft market and time to buy a souvenir before the visit to the main square and the viewpoint in downtown are. Next we drive to Puerto Varas to visit this town located on the shore of the Lake LLanquihue with fantastic views toward volcano Osorno.

Alerce Trees

We will visit the Lahuen Ñadi park. This is one of the few places in Chile where you can see at close hand examples of Alerce trees(Fitzroya Cupressoide). A walk through this Valdivian Rain Forest will give you the chance to see many examples of local species of trees, ferns and birdlife typical for Southern Chile.

Frutillar German Museum

On this tour we visit the traditional craft and fishing port area of Puerto Montt called Angelmó , the lake side town of Puerto Varas with fantastic views over Lake Llanquihue and the picturesque town of Frutillar founded by the fisrt German settlers...

Volcano Osorno

We will visit the lakeside town of Puerto Varas and drive the road to the volcano  Osorno following the southerly shore of Lake Llanquihue. Continue to the Petrohue falls to see at very close hand the waterfalls and finally a visit to the Lake Todos Los Santos .The tour includes excellent views of Volcano Osorno, Volcano Puntiagudo and Volcano Calbuco.

Petrohue Falls

Via Puerto Varas we drive by the southerly shore of Lake Llanquihue to the village of Ensenada and into the Vicente Perez Rosales NP. Visit to the Petrohue Falls to see it at very close hand, continue to Lake Esmeralda and the village of Petrohue, departing point for the Andean Cross into Bariloche, Argentina.

Stilt Houses in Castro

We take the ferry to cross the Straits of Chacao.Further south through the island is the small town of Dalcahue where we visit the "Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Church" declared a World Heritage Monument and the handicraft market which specializes in local products. The trip continues to the island's main town of Castro where you will see the famous “palafitos” or stilt houses and the San Francisco Cathedral - also a World Heritage monument.

Penguins at Puñihuil

We take the ferry to cross the Straits of Chacao.Drive to Ancud for a visit and continue along the coast to the islets of Puñihuil, breeding colonies for both Magellan and Humboldt penguins. Aboard a small boat we sail around the islets to see the penguins, as well as lions and sometimes sea otters.
