Sailing the Cape Horn 4days,3nights

Ushuaia-Punta Arenas every Wednesday and Saturday

Day 1 Ushuaia

Check in. The crew, headed by the Captain, will welcome you aboard for cocktails with your cruise companions. The trip start sailing the Beagle Channel to the Straits of Magellan.

 

Day 2 Cape Horn-Wulaia Bay

Navigation through the Beagle Channel and Murray Channel to disembark at the Cabo de Hornos (Cape Horn) National Park, weather permitting. We will visit Horn Island to get a panoramic view of the famous and mythical Cape Horn.Afternoon visit to  Wulaia Bay, once the sites of one of the region’s largest aboriginal settlements, the Yamanas.

 

 

Day 3 Piloto and Nena Glaciers

Sail through the desolate Brecknock and Ocasión channels.In a zodiac boat we explore Alakaluf Fjord to see its beautiful waterfalls and observe the Piloto and Nena glaciers from the sea.

 

Day 4 Magdalena Island-Punta Arenas

Morning visit to Magdalena Island (weather permitting).The island is inhabited by an immense colony of Magellanic Penguins which can be sighted during our walk to a lighthouse, which guides ships on their way through the strait. Continue to Punta Arenas to disembark.
